Stoke Bliss & Kyre School was built in 1870 and existed as a school until 1964. The building was then converted into a village hall.
However, as the hall aged the cost of maintaining it to modern standards became unsustainable. The village hall was sold for conversion into houses and with the aid of lottery funding the building of a new hall was undertaken.
The new hall was opened in 2014 and provides an excellent facility for the locals and those from further afield with regular events held throughout the year.
